unique pieces in polymer clay and mixed media
I am Jagna Birecka, a polymer clay and mixed media artist, a ceramicist and a teacher with background in architecture.
I have been working with polymer clay and making jewelry for more than 25 years. First it was just a hobby and a nice way to mend the student’s budget, but as the years were passing by I was getting more and more focused on my designs and techniques and at the end I decided to quit my job as an architect in order to fully concentrate on the art. In the meantime I studied ceramics at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, and ceramic clay has become my other favorite medium, next to polymer clay.
You are very welcome to browse through my site and to follow my blog. Hopefully you will be able to find some useful and interesting information on the media, techniques and my works.
If you are interested in taking workshops with me, I invite you to the workshops section of the site where you can find some basic information. Also, feel free to contact me for details.
Some of my works are always on display in the MAYAK Art House in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. It is a small contemporary art gallery that I am running, I also have my studio in the backrooms there, so you are very welcome to pass by, say hi and have a cup of tea or coffee with me.
If you are interested in purchasing some of my artwork online, you are welcome to visit my Etsy shop where you can find some of the smaller and less expensive pieces. The bigger and more valuable works are available in my own online shop.
If you would like to have something made especially for you, feel free to contact me. I really enjoy designing and making commissioned pieces and will be happy to hear from you.
